Sound Limit at Circuit Mont Tremblant

The sound limit of 92 dB has been in place since 2007.

A sound violation means you are not respecting the regulations of the Track or the Municipality.

The rules are applied evenly to everyone without exception and sanctions apply to both the vehicle and is driver.

Generally, the offending vehicle will receive a black flag and the rule is applied as follows:

If your vehicle exceeds the sound limit in one of your morning sessions:

  • Neither the driver or the vehicle will be allowed back on track for remainder of the morning.

  • Both the driver and the vehicle will be allowed back on track for the afternoon sessions.

  • This gives you an opportunity to make modifications to reduce the noise produced by your car.

If your vehicle exceeds the sound limit in one of your afternoon sessions:

  • Neither the driver or the vehicle will be allowed back on track for remainder of the day.

It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that their vehicle conforms to the sound regulations.
Sanctions are applied and managed by the racetrack and are beyond the control of the Club.
The Club cannot be held accountable for loss of track time as a result of a sound violation.
